Pagans have a lot to offer, but it can be discouraging when you want to support a cause and it feels as if you're the only one. We want to help connect Pagans to the causes they care about and easy ways to instantly help them.
We're looking for Pagan or Pagan-friendly merchants (of any kind-- writers, artists, carpenters, opera singers...) willing to donate some of their wares to help a cause-- indefinitely or for a set period of time, it's your choice. Maybe you're a soap-maker who will donate every jar of Double Chocolate Mint Sugar Scrub you make, or maybe you're a musician who wants to pitch in and donate copies of your latest CD through the month of July. We'll post a picture of your donated item on our site so visitors can choose to add it to their carts when they buy a subscription to or copy of Thorn. At the time of checkout, the visitor will choose from a list of charities we support-- and the full purchase price of the donated item will go to that charity, with the shipping and handling fees going to you.
The customer gets access to a variety of community-made goods s/he may not otherwise have access to and an easy and convenient way to help out a good cause of his/her choice; you get greater exposure for your shops and services; we get to connect other Pagan businesses with potential customers while supporting worthy causes. This just might be crazy enough to work.
Are you a merchant interested in donating your goods? Do you have ideas for or questions about the program or suggestions for charities? Email us at info@thornmagazine.com. Let's see what kind of good we can do.
